Developing and Exploring for the Abstract Series

I have always faired well on paper and within the world of 2D design, especially my abstracted sketches and line work. After spending most of my life shying away from my possible strengths to focus on mastering my weaknesses, and as I approach life in my 30s I have begun to put my life-work in perspective. As I take a quiet break from fashion (knitwear and textiles), a trade that has been an arduous and frustrating pursuit, I am finding myself pulled back into the ways of my childhood. What appears to some aimless sketches, abstracted shapes, orbs, and winding line work, is an aesthetic and habit that is very natural for me.
